With a unique professional background beginning in the corporate sector of commercial development and contracting to public practice, Harold brings a unique blend of small business acumen and complex tax law application to the SME table. With a very specific focus developed over the last decade of assisting companies in accessing various research and development grant applications, Harold has created significant wealth and hence added value to many private sector companies involved in innovation. Finally, Harold and the team at Summit are driven by the commitment of client excellence and by specializing in private client wealth creation, Harold has been able to significantly not only add wealth to many high net worth individuals but also enhance & diversify their asset protection strategies and assist in their long term risk management as a result.
Peter Perivolaris CPA, Director
In a career spanning over 35 years to date, Peter has split his professional life between the corporate world (20 years) and public practice (over 15 years including several years as a sole practitioner).
Experience gained in commercial roles included business development manager and general manager of business units, financial controller roles and chief financial officer of an unlisted public company with assets of $100m.
In conjunction with having owned or part-owned a number of businesses, this commercial experience brings an understanding and insight of how businesses function, survive and succeed in a competitive marketplace. These have led to the provision of business coaching, mentoring, consulting and virtual CFO services to a range of Summit’s clients.
Other roles included a brief stint as a non-executive director with Macquarie Community College in 2014-15 and within CPA Australia, Peter was a member of the SME Committee for ten years including three years as chairman.
Artin Etmekdjian – B.Comm (UNSW), CA, Senior Accountant, Member of Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand, former Councillor and former Mayor of Ryde City Council.
With over 25 years in public practice Artin has developed an extensive knowledge bank which allows him to advise across a diverse spectrum of issues ranging from business setup to business restructuring in-order to ensure that the ultimate benefit to the client is delivered in the areas of tax minimization, asset protection and wealth creation.
Haig Garabedian holds an MBA, BA in Finance and Accounting and another BA in Marketing and Management. With over 4 years experience in International construction companies as a consultant, contract manager, human resources manager and accounting/financial controller, Haig brings a unique blend of corporate and compliance experience to the team at Summit. He also worked 7 years for Lebanon`s leading Bank BLOM Bank which harnessed his experience in Banking in Beirut, where secrecy of banks policies are strictly applied in parallel to anti money laundry and anti-fraud measures and systems. Haig had special talent and passion in detecting counterfeit bank notes.
He was also involved in the family business since childhood and his sales and marketing capabilities were developed as a direct result this business development period.
Haig came to Sydney in 2010 and joined Summit as a trainee accountant, where he has learnt & adopted the proper accounting practices in Australia under the supervision of senior management.
Haig believes in proper, transparent and constructive communication and transfer of information between customers and the company, coworkers and also between the company and the various government institutions. This chain of communication must efficiently and easily flow in both directions. This flow serves as a tool to create a win-win situation where all the involved stakeholders are well versed & included in the decision making process accordingly. This flow can create a niche and preserve comparative advantage which means survival in this competitive world.
